The first deep-water self-operated gas field in China officially entered the stage of development and construction
It was learned from China National Offshore Oil Group Co., Ltd. that China's first deep-water self-operated gas field, the Lingshui 17-2 gas field in the South China Sea, officially entered the development and construction stage. According to reports, the Lingshui 17-2 gas field was successfully discovered in 2014. It is China's first deep-water self-operated gas field and its structure is located in the Lingshui Depression in the deep-water region of the Qiongdongnan Basin in the South China Sea. Its average operating depth is 1,500 meters. It is an ultra-deep water field. . The entry of the gas field into the development and construction stage shows that China has mastered the design, construction and installation of semi-submersible production platforms that are suitable for the deep sea complex waters of the South China Sea.
In view of the wave current, high static pressure and low temperature environment in deep water areas, and the safety problems of oil and gas gathering and transportation technology design and production that are far from land, CNOOC intensified the technological research and broke through and mastered the semi-submersible condensing oil storage at a depth of 1500 meters. Platform design and construction technology and supporting domestic equipment design and manufacturing technology, China's deep-sea marine equipment construction capacity further improved.
